STEPS 4K

Newberry CDC is proud to be the only Level A+ school in the district, for your 4 year old child. WE are proud to offer SC First Steps 4K, a state funded, program that provides free and educational Pre K program to your 4 year old eligible child. Children benefit from small class sizes( one to ten teacher to child ratio) and instructional curriculum by Creative Curriculum, that prepares them for school.

To to check if your child is eligible to receive free or reduced cost preschool programs, your child must:

Be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2020,

Be eligible for Medicaid, free- or reduced-price lunch program, SNAP/TANF recipient OR be transient, homeless or in foster care.

Be a South Carolina Resident

SC First Steps 4K is a state-funded program that provides free, educational Pre-K programs in childcare centers across South Carolina. SC First Steps 4K is a Child Early Reading and Development Education Program (CERDEP).
